Judge Tim  DouthitJudge Douthit was appointed as a District Court Judge by Governor Kay Ivey.  Having lived his whole life in Madison County, Judge Douthit graduated Magna cum Laude from Troy University.  He graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Sanford University where he was member of the Moot Court Board, and Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review, and the Captain of the National Trial Team. 

After a brief stint in private practice, Judge Douthit became a prosecutor in Mobile, AL.  He handled all levels of felony crime and was the head of the White Collar Crime Unit.  In 2016, Judge Douthit began working for the Madison County District Attorney’s Office as the Supervisor of the Crimes Against Children Unit.  He became the head of the Violent Crimes Unit, and ultimately the Chief Trial Attorney.  In that position, he handled the most serious criminal offenses, including capital murder, home invasion robberies, kidnappings, and child abuse.  In 2026, he was appointed by Governor Ivey to be a District Court Judge.
