Judge Mann was elected as Madison County Circuit Judge in November 2010. He was born and raised in Madison County. He received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his Juris Doctorate from Jones School of Law. Judge Mann served as an Assistant District Attorney for Madison County from 1993-1998 before entering private practice. From 1998-2010 Judge Mann practiced primarily in the areas of real estate and criminal defense. He handled over 1200 criminal cases, trying to a jury every variety of criminal case. Judge Mann handled over 20 murder cases, including 16 capital murder cases and tried numerous death penalty cases. During his practice, Judge Mann was a member of the Huntsville/Madison County Bar association, the Alabama State Bar Association, the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and was admitted to practice in both State and Federal Courts.
