Hon. William K. Bell
Circuit Judge
Judge Bell was elected to the Circuit Judge position in Madison County in November of 2002. He received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama. Judge Bell was in private practice in Huntsville from 1972 until his election in 2002. He is a member of the State Bar Association and the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, for which he has served as treasurer (1973), Vice-President (1994) and President (1995).
Judge Bell has been a member of the Madison County Judicial Commission, a Special Assistant to the Alabama Attorney General and the Madison County District Attorney.
While in private practice, Judge Bell served as a certified domestic relations mediator, and was a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers from 1993 until 2003. He has served as the Presiding Judge of Madison County (2007-2009).
